Stuff

Most people seek after what they do not possess and are enslaved by the very things they want to acquire. – Anwar el-Sadat, 1918 – 1981

The creative impulses of man are always at war with the possessive impulses. – Van Wyck Brooks, 1886 – 1963

Earthly possessions dazzle our eyes and delude us into thinking that they can provide security and freedom from anxiety. Yet all the time they are the very source of anxiety. – Dietrich Bonhoeffer, 1906 – 1945

Naught is possessed, neither gold, nor land nor love, nor life, nor peace, nor even sorrow nor death, nor yet salvation. Say of nothing: It is mine. Say only: It is with me. – D. H. Lawrence, 1885 – 1930

I am but a gatherer and disposer of other men’s stuff. – Sir Henry Wotton, 1568 – 1639

Stuffwise we are not a lean operation. We’re the kind of people who, if we were deciding what absolute minimum essential items we’d need to carry in our backpacks for the final, treacherous ascent to the summit of Mount Everest, would take along aquarium filters, just in case. – Dave Barry

I would also bring 3 or 4 extra pair of flip flops on my trek ‘just in case’. 🙂 What extra things would you bring sis?

Well, I would take two extra pair of pants and three shirts that I hate and never wear, and jewelry. Probably 3 necklaces to match the shirts and earrings to match those. Would probably take shoes that only work with the pants I won’t wear.
    Bad packing. It’s a gift.
