But in this case, they're the right kind of lies, because they're stories: lies told in pursuit of a higher truth. That's why we enter the Gate of Ivory after all: to be entertained, to learn or to feel something about the world that we didn't know or that we had forgotten.
...Plus some of the stories are smutty, so they'll get a lot of attention.

I used to have evidence here that people read my stuff and liked it-- awards and webrings and stuff--but I've given those people up for dead.
