Isn’t that how we “met”? In the comments on SJ’s blog? I’ve been reading her for-freaking-ever, and it’s a good thing she lives so far away because I would have quite the girlcrush on her. I will check out the other one, though!

My mom is funny, and biting, but usually she only comments on my blog, or on my facebook posts.

Wow, you got born into a fabulous family. Going to cons as a youth. Can’t even imagine how different I’d be if …. oh hell, nevermind. Nice to see that you soaked all that in.
At any rate, does your mom write funny stuff? My two standouts are Paula, Your Neighborhood Librarian on blogspot, and SJ, of I, Asshole fame. She kills me. They both do. If you have 10 minutes, go over and read anything SJ ever wrote, or go read the Mamma Mia post on YNL’s site. Good stuff. Like yours.

The Elderflower is sort of this… you know, magically harvested at midnight by virgins in white flowing dresses sort of beverage. Smells a little floral/fruity, almost like grapefruit, and tastes like… well, it’s hard to describe the taste, because it doesn’t taste like anything I can relate it to that’s not “elderflower”. A little tart when you first put it in your mouth but then a long sweetness as it goes down. And it goes down like fruit juice, one might really have to limit oneself. In theory. :;shifty eyes::

My mom is a librarian (well, was, before she retired) and my husband’s mom is a librarian. They’re both funny as hell. And have you ever been to a librarian conference? Maybe not, not being a librarian. I haven’t seen people party that hard since I had those friends with the room with the false back to hide underage drinkers in when the cops would get called to their parties.
